I don’t know anything more than the rest of us but it had to be something pretty big. If it was just a “server problem” … swap out the hard drives or set up a new server and go to backups… (no, it’s not just that easy but it’s not a two week issue for sure) seems to me like they are having to rebuild the entire system or something. Especially if phones are still offline, they are still working in a triage environment. if so, I doubt they know what had happened unless someone is focused on that task vs getting us up and running.
Crazy… as mentioned way back.. it was probably the Iranians… (or Greenland… lol)Friend and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
Ok, so before I make a fool of myself (ya, again) … can anyone here explain to me what I’m missing here??? I have now hit an issue on two of the platforms we considered and told that it is right… but I sure don’t see it or understand why it’s right or not incorrect.
Ok, let’s go to basics… we have 14 hours each day to drive 11 hours with a required break within 8 hours… all within 70 hours.
Each day we start with 8, 11, 14, and whatever is left of our 70.
but… what I am hitting on both Samsara and now Isaac is that once your 70 gets under say 11 or maybe 14 hours, the 14 hour clock MATCHES your 70… it reports say 8 hours left on the 70 and so you can only drive up to 8 hours… BUT the 14 hour clock now starts your day at 8 hours and not the expected 14.
The 14 is being calculated correctly as nothing happens if you drive say 9 or 10 hours (due to a 1 or 2 hour break… but it’s simply reporting a very understated 14 or portion of 14.
The photo below was my clocks this morning. I have 8ish hours left on my 70 but it’s not telling me what portion of my 14 is left.
If you run recaps, your 14 hour clock is simply wrong and useless… every day.
So please educate this Driver.. why is this correct? If I have only 8 hours available, can I not use that over the normal 14 hours?
I can’t seem to be able to attach a photo so I’ll post it separately when I can. -
Cycle is our 70
Shift is our 14
Driving is our 11
I say the Shift should be 14 no matter how many hours you have available… why is this correct???
Or, why am I wrong???
(I’m open to being wrong)
Thanks

After having to basically rebuild the whole server etc, There goes any hopes of a raise anytime soon, company drivers get an annual raise. Owner operators haven’t gotten squat in four years.

@runningman0661 i have a question for you, and not to sidetrack from FCC, just wanting your opinion. Does a company like Bruce Oakley appeal to you in any way? Their guys are in set mileage rates loaded and empty, with other incentives tossed in the mix. One of the main reasons I ask is because Ive been involved in end dump work in the southeast for years with my current company, I see Oakley almost everywhere I go, plus I follow a few guys on YouTube that pull for them. They all have nice trucks, show factual good yearly numbers and seem to stay busy, anyway what’s the good and bad of a program like what they have for O/O’s?
Friend and runningman0661 Thank this. -
Did you just answer your own questions? Or are you recruiting.?
mitrucker and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Do you use a ladder to stock the top shelves?

Thankfully it was an in frame rebuild… (I probably totally slaughtered that… lol)Friend and 4mer trucker Thank this.

I’ve talked to them, they won’t hire out of Florida right now. I have friends that are leased on to Bruce Oakley, and do very well.Friend Thanks this.
