Nice, I’ve been looking into them, it’s nice to hear that it’s a relaxed environment.

Don’t really have one, currently my address is Fort Wayne, IN but haven’t been there in 4 months. Just want to drive for a bit and settle later.

Thanks, I’ll look into Oakley a bit more, I’ve got plenty of pump experience from hauling fuel so I don’t imagine it’s too much different on the food side.

I’ll tentatively double that warning, too. Lol. Big thing I heard from a guy in my orientation class who went reefer/dryvan was the truck. Lots of breakdowns. I think he got unlucky and was placed in an older truck. Not sure how things improved or whatnot since then. I’m just grateful that my experience in the tanker side has been good, though. Hopefully it’ll stay good!

If you’re willing to try an end dump there’s some decent options out there, JK Williams or Bones out of Kansas. It’s interesting work, I’ve done it for years and really wouldn’t change anything, no real sitting around and the culture of the end dump side of things is generally more friendly and laid back.

I’m up for just about anything as long as it makes sense financially and I’m not being micromanaged. Is it OTR?

Yes, OTR both companies cover a lot of ground, @Arctic_fox is a wealth of knowledge for Bones. I’m a company man for a small outfit in Florida, not much OTR on my end, but the work is the same.

I like to think in one way it's what old school trucking used to be. Obviously a lot has changed with trucking over the years. There are forward facing cameras and rules but drivers actually talk to each other. A camaraderie? I dunno but I do like it.

If you liked hauling cars and also want to run the road, Accelerated Services picked up the GM work in Ft Wayne when Cooper went out of business. The rates are very good out of Ft Wayne and they run longer freight. They also got the GM Bowling Green Assembly (Corvette) traffic for all 48.
