Imported stuff has come a long ways from the old "Buffalo" brand sold on the late night infomercials.
Not sure if anyone else remembers those from way back. It would come on one of our two channels.
I outfitted all my service trucks with HF stuff, besides compressors, welders, impacts, and specialty stuff.broke down plumber, Feedman, ElmerFudpucker and 7 others Thank this. -
I really like the ICON stuff. The Pittsburgh line is pretty good too. When I started buying tools in 92 they wasn’t a lot of choices if good was in your must haves.
There is loads of stuff in Dads box that I’m sure most never heard of that’s pretty good.broke down plumber, Feedman, ElmerFudpucker and 8 others Thank this. -
We have a farm and ranch store here that sells Tekton. We have put quite a bit of stress on a 3/4" breaker bar that we bought from them with about a 3' handle, and it has held up well.broke down plumber, ElmerFudpucker, CAXPT and 9 others Thank this.

My grandpa who wasn't a mechanic had lots of Bonney stuff. Good tools I still use.
My other grandpa and dad were die hard Snap On men.
I started with Snap On and Napa. But when you need 25 each of 10mm and 5/16"'s cause you lose so many, you look for a cheaper outlet.beastr123, broke down plumber, Feedman and 11 others Thank this. -
Dad had lots of Bonney stuff. I keep his 9/16 with me truck to truck so to speak. I’m sure it’s older than me. Husky and S&K is pretty prominent in that box. And the most wore out 3/4” deep well impact socket I ever seen 1/2 drive it’s a crap on. I mean that dude is all but round insidebeastr123, broke down plumber, Feedman and 8 others Thank this.

I've got a pretty good selection of mostly Carlyle and Craftsman. Some Matco, Husky and Tekton.
They all do the same job. It seems like they changed the lettering on the casting on some of it they're so similar.
I'm sure there was a difference forty years ago, just like pickup trucks. Now they're all plastic and computer controlled emissions problems waiting to happenbroke down plumber, Feedman, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
I got asked to plan a trip to the Pathfinder pretty soon. It came with a bunch of equipment that is in various states of disrepair and they need to know what to do with it.
