Here's the TSA link to permanent and 7 years disqualifying crimes. TSA is mostly worried about explosives, smuggling, terrorism. Drug prossession, as long as it isn't traficking/distribution is usually not a TSA matter. Possession with intent to distribute is, but it's a 7 years DQ. I think the time starts at the completion of the sentence, not arrest, and maybe not conviction.

If you’re still making 60K doing sheet metal I’d stick with that.

Most of the characters I see working for TMC are under age 40.

You can still do flatbed....if you want to....but probably somewhere else.

I think you've got enough time elapsed to where those charges won't be an issue. Whatever you choose, be prepared to stick it out for about a year or so. There's going to be high potential for BS in the first year. It'll be better start looking in the direction of OTR companies, then trickle down to other companies. Put in applications non stop. Let the companies tell you no.

Most importantly, don't volunteer any unnecessary information. If the application asks about charges going back 3 years, that's all you reveal. If you're on the phone with the recruiter, don't tell them anything that they didn't ask about. Answer the exact question asked.

On the applications, read the questions carefully about criminal background. Sometimes the questions will ask "Have you ever" or "Have you, within the past 5 years" been arrested.
Yeah, Post #35 is more clear than my post. Missed it!

He may be just tired of all that sheet. :p :D

He might want to try his luck at some other type of sheet. ;) :)

The REAL QUESTION here is: for this next gig -- can he get (& keep) his sheet together? :D

Yes that's what I seen as well. That charge was in 99 and looks to full under the temporary restriction. Thanks for your help!
