Hot rinse out your fifth wheel jaws and use a spray bottle of 15-40 to lube the jaws every time you drop a trailer when the temp goes below 0. I learned that trick while running to the uranium mines and reserve communities in northern Saskatchewan in the 70's and 80's. Mind you it was 30w to start and even that got sticky at -40 or so. Also use 90w gear oil on your fifth plate when the temp goes below 0. you will have less trouble with it sticking and stopping or slowing you steering response due to frozen grease.

Rub it in, why don’t you?

I’ve been freezing my ### off all week, but at least the wind held off a bit until today.

Ya know I’ve complained a lot here bout this snow but I’m gonna admit I’m gettin along in it and these temps better than I do at a 100 in Arkansas. We got a little Aussie female that is a squirrel chasing machine in these temps. All in all I dread summer all ready

So my son expanded his pond recently and mined a fair bit of gravel. He's not allowed to sell the gravel without a special use permit, but he can give it away. A contractor close to him saw the pile and pulled in and asked what he was going to do with it, and he said give it away, but we want to be paid for loading it. They got done hauling it out yesterday - a bit over 1500 cy.
The boys have been working on our new-to-us end dump ($1800!) and got it wired and plumbed in, greased, etc. I thought what the heck I'll run it up to his place and get me some of that "free" gravel. He loaded me up with 3 excavator buckets in the truck and pup both - should be a nice little load to try her out on eh @RGN ?
Can't even see the gravel over the sides.
