They do have a good meat department and bakery. The subs are pretty good. But yeah way overpriced if you buy all your groceries there for us it's probably about $100+ over typical grocery trip versus what we'd pay for the sane stuff elsewhere. We used to go to Kroger but now obviously it's all Walmart. Unless there's a specific need that they just don't have which is rare.

We use Sam's Club, Walmart, Smith's which is Kroger here.
Cheapest and highest quality produce I've ever seen is in the Mexican grocery stores; at least here in Nevada. It's worth a special trip just to buy produce.

There's two of these in Las Vegas/Henderson.
    Seafood City Supermarket
Seafood City is the leading Filipino supermarket in North America, offering Filipino groceries, freshly prepared meals, and exclusive services like SFC+ Remit and Suki Points.

There's a bunch of small Mexican grocery stores around this area but we've never been to one. Other than that Kroger always had the best produce outside of locally sourced or home grown.

Check the produce prices in the Mexican stores and see if it's worth an extra trip, just for produce.

The difference is service if it matters to you. You can find 8 to 10 Publix employees on the floor. Try that at Walmart. No you can't include their curbside shoppers. The last two times I asked a Walmart floor employee a question, they opened the translator on their phone. I just waved them off. For the record I'm Aldi, Costco, Publix.

For us in the northeast Walmart bumps heads with Market Basket,Stop & Shop and Mom and Pop grocery stores. But when usually the customer service experience is a determining factor.

We have Publix, Kroger and Ingles and Aldi all within 15 miles . Publix has good produce and meat but everything is lots higher price than Ingles. Kroger is expensive also but not the quality of Publix and Ingles. Been in Aldi a couple times half rotten produce and not much of a selection of things. We constantly go to Ingles, good selection, good meat and produce and best overall price.
