Ozempic is a dangerous glp1 drug that alters what your body is trying to do. Folks think that weight loss is a good thing no matter what, but they do not understand how these drugs work. Glp1 is something in your body that is only released when you eat food, it slows digestion down and manages glucose and insulin. When your stomach is empty, you do not want glp1 doing this. So even when you do not eat anything, your insulin is made, and high levels of insulin can cause all sorts of problems, just look at the side effects of Ozempic.

Glp1 should respond only when food is being processed in your body, but when taken externally it is constantly present and telling your body not to eat anymore. That is what causes weight loss.

I think it also makes you lose muscle also. Kinda like a statin cholesterol pills. Watched a family member completely go from normal to frail and small on a statin. Was pretty much the end. Ozempic is looking like the same. People get to caught up on the number on the scale. Muscle loss will be more weight loss. If you lose muscle it’s pretty much the end for you.

 

Whatever happened to diet and excercise?

 

I run 25+ miles a week and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Going on Mounjaro was the only way to get my glucose levels to a normal level. I’m taking the lowest dosage and it lowered my A1C level by 2.5 percent.
I haven’t lost any muscle mass because I didn’t ramp up to the max dosage and sit on my butt all day long eating snacks. I haven’t had any of the side affects that people claim to have but I did change to a healthier diet.
And yes in another post I said I’ve lost 70lbs in the last year but most of that was in the 9 months before I started taking Mounjaro.
