That baker city hill collects alot of customers..the state trooper building is right off that exit behind the grocery outlet. First couple times i parked there behind the grocery store couldnt figure out why so many cops was coming down that road all hours of the night. Til i realized i was parked in front of their office..
They love to sit out in the median between baker and la grande, under the overpasses parked behind the bridge supports with their lights off .. cant seem em til the last second and ur headlights bounce off their reflective stickers

Did that happen to be out on us50? When i had my blue truck i let it go down one of those 6% grades on us50 thats dead straight for what seems like 20+ miles. No traffic around, middle of nowhere on the lonliest highway in america. Not sure how fast i got up to but the speedo pinned out to 80 about halfway down and i cruised the rest of the way down with a big ol smile on my facewore out, Big Road Skateboard, BlackjackCo and 2 others Thank this.

That's the route I drive weekly between fernly, NV and Delta Utah. There's only a couple of those big drops you can have straight. But it is usually empty especially late night and early am. Loaded heavy at 105000+ GVW I've had it up to 84 mph. But not usually because there does tend to be deer or elk at times and don't fancy how that collision (even with my hurd guard) would be at that speed. The other 15 MTN passes are way too windy and narrow to let it get much over 20mph safely. Great road for testing your mountain driving skills especially when it snows.Speedy356, D.Tibbitt, Big Road Skateboard and 1 other person Thank this.

I had to look up 50. Don't guess I've been on it, except for the little bit between Ely and Majors Place once on my way to Cedar City.
I do like those desolate places in Nevada. Great places to park in the middle of nowhere, and no traffic.BlackjackCo, D.Tibbitt, PacoTaco and 2 others Thank this. -
