Should of slid the tandems back, probably would of been enough to kept the back end on the ground.
Oxbow and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Those guys must not load trailers very much. Otherwise they would’ve known not to get on a teeter totter with a fat kid.
Oxbow, Toomanybikes, Speedy356 and 5 others Thank this. -
I'm watching it and wondering why he didn't set up in front of the trailer, and run 1 strap in front of the kingpin?drvrtech77 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

When you do the math, there's got to be north of 20,000 in front of the landing gear! An empty dry van is about 14,000. The landing gear is about at the 3/4 point on the trailer. It would take about that much to lift it in the air like that. A lot more if the tandems were slid back.
Toomanybikes, SmallPackage and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
Well north of 20,000
The axle/bogie assembly is about some 5,000lbs and that is some 30' from the teter totter pivot.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
coulda shoulda, how was the driver really supposed to know that was gonna happen??
-
Toward the end, One of the dudes said was about 32,000 pounds.
Sounds like they were loading the empty trailer and it slowly tilted up as the last stack was put in place.
If they had just single stacked them would of been fine. Folks loading the trailer just got lazy.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Only driver involved decision was not sliding the tandems back.
The critical bad decisions were all on the loading facility. -
I’m wondering if there’s a forklift in there, that could have led to the tip up on the way to the front. It certainly looks like someone has some splaining to do on this one
