Doing the opposite after you've been out of the truck awhile is much worse.

When we had our conestoga installed they built it as tall as possible so that we could fit containers inside. 13’6” outside and 104” inside height

At Central Transport years ago, I drove a Ford 8000 day cab, with a 10 speed. There was no assist on the heavy duty clutch, it was all leg power. After driving that thing a 12 hr day, I got in my 1980 F250 with a 4 speed, and almost pushed the clutch pedal through the floor.....

Reaching down to the left side of the seat and searching for the air switch to raise the seat, cause you’re sitting a little low.

Waking up and taking a second to figure out which state you are in.

Or what day it is, or is it morning or evening.

Sitting at a stop sign, looking at cross traffic, trying to figure out when you have enough room to go. You are in a V8 pickup truck, not 72 feet if truck and trailer.

I feel for the scale in Georgia on I 95 south

it shares the exit ramp with the Georgia welcome center ,
And more than half the cars going to the welcome center drive through the scale .

I thought about this a bit:

My memory comes from a time before cell phones. You couldn't just look at your phone to tell the time, date, or your GPS to tell you where you were, and your log book was not a reliable source.!
