The South had the Tomcats, the Union had A-10 Warthogs. Stop spreading misinformation.

Ay 70 mph, aerodynamic downforce has probably compressed your springs an inch or 2....

Also, even the states that don't mark them a set amount lower (like NY; always marked 12" lower..), they still usually subtract a couple of inches. I used to drive for a mega-carrier that had ALL 13'6" trailers, but one guy actually got up on his trailer roof and physically measured it in different places, and they turned out to be more like 13' 4 1/2" high....

Having said all that, there is always that railroad underpass on Genesee St. in Buffalo; it's marked 12'7", but EVERYBODY knows it's actually 13'7". HOWEVER, there is a steep uphill that starts about 40' after you come out of the underpass on the north end. Being urban Buffalo and all, a prudent driver already has his tandems slid all the way forward. But, when Johnny Texas drives in with his 53'er and his tandems slid all the way back, he's gonna shear off about 10' of rivets holding his roof panel on, and maybe rip the door frame off from the top......

I get the feeling that this photo is AI......

Reaching up for the air horn lanyard, when the idiot just did something exceptionally stupid in front of you.

Trying to drive your car's synchronized clutch like your truck's unsynchronized clutch.

BTDT. When you first start driving truck and get back in a 4 wheeler, you can't drive a stick to save your life.

This generation has no idea what we're talking about.

Back then, they dropped round bombs with a lit fuse from baskets under big balloons....

Clutches don't have synchros; it's the cogs in your gearbox that have them....

    Lonesome Thanks this.
