I always put those nylon straps around the suitcase, then use zip ties on the straps where they cross and on each end. Then take a photo before checking the suitcases.
-
They're just going to cut it all off to get inside because they are legally authorized to enter your suitcase for inspection. That's why there's TSA locks with a TSA keyhole which is Master keyed.
-
Maybe so, but a thief may just pass on my suitcase and go to another one.

Note to Southwest Airlines. You might want to reconsider brushing off that young lady. A few years back United Airlines broke someone’s very expensive guitar and it ended up being a PR nightmare!
-
She should have put it in her carry-on, or had it shipped to her home via Fedex/UPS/the post office with a tracking number.
I never, ever check bags if I don't have to. And if I do, then the only things that go in the checked bag(s) are things that can be easily replaced.
Also: $542 for a curling iron?!? That's ridiculous.buzzarddriver Thanks this. -
It's honestly crazy that we have to be worried if the TSA, a federal security agency, is going to steal from your luggage. TSA is, and always has been, garbage security theater filled with thieving scum.RockinChair and Hammer166 Thank this.

Have you ever had to pick up or drop off freight at an airport? Tsa is for the most part absolute scum! It’s like they drop in the worst part of the ghetto & only accept the worst candidates.
