Hauling beer and alcohol...

    Could be problematic to begin with due to insurance exclusions and then the permits the states may require or not.
    Insurance exclusions are most of the time for hard liquor, then wine and beer could be ok but you had better check with your agent.

    Check permits for every state on your trip.
    Some require permit not only for the pick up or delivery but for the transit too.

    For example, I was going to get a load of beer from Michigan to Iowa but decided not to take it because of Indiana that required it for the transit too. I could have sneaked through using the turnpike...but I did not.

    Here's the useful list of states and what they require...but better check when each state before you pick up an alcohol load.

    What's the big deal with the permit?? Most don't expire either..... except New Jersey which only does it for the day of transit...
