Those Solo Regional or OTR positions are really hard to come by. They're mostly made for teams. Might have to move to the area thats hiring if you want to get on bulk.

Are you saying it's easier to find local bulk cryo work? All I ever see out on the road is daycab cryo rigs...or daycab fuel tankers.

Yup. Most of the operations are done by local drivers. I know at Air Products we only have 15 drivers in the whole country doing regional solo. Some yards have roll n rest rest bid lanes were the driver goes out on Monday in a daycab and comes back friday. Off on weekends.

What would be the top cryogenic fleet to get onto? Linde and Messer?

Thanks, thought about moving down to Texas. Not sure how the CDL market is down there I’m sure it’s better than Vegas CDL market.

Texas is one of the best markets for a CDL driver. Dallas-Ftw and Houston will be your top choices. They both also have all cryo companies there and Houston would be the one with all the specialized cryo.

Appreciate it. I’m just trying to figure out if I can get a job offer down there before moving, or if I have to move first and then apply. I just don’t want to spend the money relocating, start applying, and end up not landing anything local cyro or fuel.

I know Air Products has yards in Chandler, AZ and Salt Lake city if Texas is too far. Also in Cali

There’s plug power that’s hiring for teams in Vegas. But I don’t know if I want to team drive again.
