Good point on the Brawler colors, and it looks more like Mesquite Nevada than it does Red Deer.

Less than 10 seconds long. Odd blurs and fake looking background. Not a single other picture or mention to be found.

If KW shows off the C500 replacement this year it will either be at Conexpo or MATS.

I'd bet it will look real close to that though.

Do you have a storage or surge tank on this system?
You can do a shock treatment on the system. Need distilled vinegar and bleach.
The vinegar goes first, that should work to lower the PH level, then shock it with bleach, raising the PH.
Quantity and dwell time is dependent on your system. That should kill off any spores.
Definitely will need to flush a bit to clear the water. May have to flush the sprinkler system as well.
Probably don’t want to irrigate with that bleach in the system.

Drop a couple chlorine tablets in at the well head and flush it real good till you can’t smell it— that’s the way we treat new water lines before they’re turned loose to the public

Just a fairly small pressure tank. 30-40 gallons.

I can't remember how deep the well is, but somewhere around 75-100', and has never run dry.

I'll try a couple flushes since we have some warm weather, then run a screen over the line and see if it’s cleared.

    Thanks all for the advice

We've had to put bleach in before when
something must have fell in. We quit using bored wells when the drilled ones were done. The bored ones would only be 40’-60’ deep. Ive drilled one to 600’ before and still didnt get but 1.5 gals/min. Its a hit or miss around here.

Look carefully at the well head and any place you could have something get into the system. Make sure they are sealed up.

I've got a well at home , I put a cup or so of bleach in it twice a year. Never had algae but we have hard water and get red stains in the water lines and tank . Well man told me about the bleach. I've got two filters before it goes into the house, sediment and charcoal. My well is drilled,320 feet deep.
Maybe you could flush it good and put a sediment filter on to catch the algae.

When we moved into this shop the water well was open. It's right inside the shop and from the pitless adapter to the water is about 12'.

There were a dozen dead mice floating in it and either a small cat or a rabbit. Then one of the guys accidentally tipped over the oil container and about 20 gallons of rotella went in it.

I fished out all the critters and skimmed the oil off. Then we just ran the pump and flushed everything as good as we could for several days. Eventually a water treatment sales guy stopped by and offered to test our water for us so I let him do it and I told him everything that was in there. We were all pretty surprised at the results came back that there was no bacteria whatsoever in our water and it was clean but very hard.

So I bought a $400 water softener from home Depot and installed it and we moved on with life. We brew coffee with it everyday and it hasn't killed us yet.

I did put a cover over the hole to keep things from falling in it PXL_20260214_221045442.jpg

Sounds like you have high iron content in the water. You can get a filter system for that. Not that expensive to install, maybe around $200.00. The life of the filter is the question. Just depends on how much iron is in the water.
Put it in between the sediment and charcoal filters.
