Got it running , have good oil pressure and everything else seems to be good
But its surging really bad at idle. Like its missing on 2 or more cylinders. New fuel filters and all the basics. The roughness goes away mostly when raising the rpm but comes back bad at idle. Fuel injector issue? Im waiting for insite to load so i can pull the engine code PXL_20260214_224056353.jpg

If you have a temp gun you can shoot the exhaust manifold at each cylinder and see if you've got a dead hole.

Injector metering rail 1 pressure sensor is the only active fault code we have. SPN 157 FMI 3. Could this be related to the injector harness?

IIRC that fault will come up if the ECM sees high signal voltage to the rail pressure sensor. I'd start by verifying the sensor is plugged in.

If it ran fine (other than the headgasket problems) when you parked it then usually these issues are from something you touched during the repair. Wouldn't hurt to double check the wiring harness all around the engine to verify you didn't accidentally damage it while you had the engine apart.

Thats what im thinking too. Everything looks to be ok that i can see. Definatly didnt have this problem prior. This right here is the fuel rail pressure sensor . Ill have to do some research and see what it should OHM out at? and work my way inwards to the injector harness. I never touched that sensor on the fuel rail when i pulled it off so maybe its just no good anymore and needs to be replaced.. thanks for the help

Check the contacts in the plug for it and make sure the terminals aren't spread.
