What quality of steel has been used? I know of cases where low quality steel has been used for reinforcement.

Nice work! Did you replace the wheels, or just refurb them?

All in, you doing the work, and depending on components, I'd say $4500-15k.

Tires alone could cost anywhere from $2500-$6500. Too many variables there to guess really.

Two things for certain it took, that I'm short on. Time and patience.

Oddly this trailer was built out of common I beams….you can actually read the grade stamp size and date on the main beams if you look hard enough….so that’s what was used for replacing the bottom half of the main beams and grade 50 plate for the rest.
Yes I know most modern trailers are built from t1 or g80 or 100 plate steel and that is generally what needs to be used for fixing them

I replaced about half of the wheels since they were in my opinion too heavily rusted to be safe and I was not remounting tires on them.
The only thing I did to the axles was replace the spring perches as they were pretty much crumbling from rust. The brakes were pretty new and the cams slacks and pancakes were new or in good condition bearings and seals had also been replaced previously. I only replaced the hubcaps because one got broken in handling around here and two ended up with a bunch of overspray from poor masking so might as well….

Our company rebuilds the trailers in-house and do a fantastic job. It takes awhile because of having to deal with daily operations of a truck shop. It's not cheap by any means but far cheaper than a new trailer.

Just a W.A.G. but I think with that blasting, re-decking, painting ,wiring, plumbing and refurbishing or replacing wheels and tires you would be lucky to get away with 25k if you counted self labor.
That depends on if you had competent buddies who worked for beer and BBQ.
