Out of everywhere I've been I still think BC has the nicest looking dump trucks. Can't beat the look of a Nahanni dump box IMO.![]()

That's yesterday's dump truck.
Today's dump trucks have tubs that are the same height front and back. with 3 drop axles. Maybe even 4 drops. -
Very prevalent around here.
Sumtinlidat, Sons Hero, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
Lift axles are illegal here. You get a tandem or a tridrive.snowwy, dirthaller, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

We have a weird looking setup in Alberta some guys run. Tandem truck, tandem side dump and a tridem end dump in a b train configuration. Never seen that anywhere else.dirthaller and Oxbow Thank this.

That depends on where you’re at. Having a quad vs a tri in my state only gains you like 3500 pounds. Account for the added weight of the axle and you may only net an extra 1500 pounds.

And the payload is way up there with what, up to six or more axles on them. Utah likes doubles too.ElmerFudpucker and dirthaller Thank this.
-
Does Utah still max out at 129k gross?
ElmerFudpucker, dirthaller and Oxbow Thank this. -
I don't know. I just see the configurations for sale there. They must allow a lot, but then again we can go 129 if we can axle it, but guys here just keep getting more axles on one trailer. It might have to do with haul distances also.wore out and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.
