    The trouble is, we can't always park at a truck stop with good coffee.
    Not all truck stops have those fancy grinding machines for the better coffee. TA/Petro certainly do not. Love's, Pilot and J are the only real choices.
    And what about the times when your only option is a rest area?
    Or the parking lot of a Walmart, shipper or receiver?

    You complained about weak coffee, but I found that filling the mug with two rounds using two pods gave me the desired strength. And that was why it was about the same cost. One pod is really only good for maybe 6 ounces at best if you want it with real flavor.

    You don't need an expensive Kuerig. Walmart has a pod coffee maker for around 30 bucks that perfectly fits a container that costs around 12.
    Just have to do a little measuring for the size and price.

    And a pod coffee maker is SO much better than a drip because of the clean up.
    You also have to protect the glass coffee pot from breaking, and have more of a storage problem with the drip.

    Sounds like you know good coffee. You should try pour over amigo. It's coffeehouse quality coffee and there's no cleanup. You just need a way to boil water.

    - Pour a mug of water
    - Transfer that to kettle, electric is simplest if you have an inverter
    - Put pour over cone over your mug, drop in a paper filter and 4 spoons of good quality coffee while your water is boiling
    - Pour it over and let it drip and in about 2 minutes you've got a fantastic cup of coffee, though it's just one cup
    - Dump the filter/grounds in the trash

    Zero clean up. I do this at home and in the truck every day now. Usually 3 times. 2 in the morning and one in the afternoon.

    Fortunately I drive a day cab. And also use it OTR. Motels usually have a decent breakfast and coffee. And usually next to a decent restaurant or I can have delivery.

    That is the mini. I have one. It's awesome. Just plug it in an hour or so before you want it. Food gets nice and hot. This one fits the longer rubbermaid take-along containers. The bigger one would be great too.

    This would be absolutely perfect if you prep meals before heading out.

    Use to take a can of Dinty Moore beef stew, crack the lid and put it between the exhaust manifold and the head for about 30 minutes.

    electric skillet were all the rage in the 60's and 70's. lol

    wife had one,in the 80's, a hand me down.

    I like how you can look at every image or video of in-truck cooking ever and tell how long the driver has been doing it by looking at anything not plastic, rubber, vinyl, or leather..

    Microwave ... that's it
    Made whole Thanksgiving dinner once in just my microwave.

    Used paper plates and plastic dinner ware.

    What it comes down to, is how much time do you want spend cooking.
