I-80 closed over donner due to whiteout/blizzard

'tis the season.

 

Used to run through those conditions on north shore of Lake Superior 3times a week. No chains allowed and numerous 3 mile steep grades.
Typical winter As late as ‘98 I was running tandem pups((140k) and no engine brake
My employer ( from Manitoba) claimed we didn’t need Jake brakes. Manitoba has no terrain with any resemblance to NW Ontario

Next week I'm delivering scissor lifts in Reno and then over Donner for a delivery in Oakland. I hope this clears up by Monday-Tuesday
