Great find/progress. Just to show how things can happen... And drive you crazy and embarrass,...
Partner in our forklift shop put in a Continental branch rebuilt engine. All together, distributor innards, points, condenser, cap, all new. Gonna crank and see all OK before counterweight and hood... He sets the machines battery on, connects and turns the key.

Sluggish surgy twist. Connects the shop battery charger to it to boost, gets twist. Spins, no reaction. Whiff of canned go vapor and not even a poot.

Ah hell, points gap. Unsnaps the cap, examines, wipes thru, replaces caps, resets the plug wires. Twists key and NADA.
Gas? Breaks the fuel line at carb and shoot a pint out when the key is twisted. Not gas, got to be fire, recheck inside distributor. Swap 2 plug wires, just try.

By this time myself and the other partner are easing up to express our concern of his abilities, even suggest he call Lester, (the Hyster man ) for pointers.

We all are puzzled; just not in panic, but this is killing chargeable time... Other partner; older man, has walked to the front for a coke and comes back....

Walks up; reaches down and picks up the distributor rotor button off where it was lying on the frame. Reaches it out to Toney and asks, need this in there?

Out with old , in with the new. Seems i ordered the wrong bushing kit. Think this for a 379 rather than 389? Still fits together and basically the same.. just 2 bushings on hood side rather than the 1 piece i took off.. never run these poly bushing before. Guess we'll see how they hold up

If the brand is Atro they never do quite actually match. But they'll work most of the time
