Hi again Bulldog- just reading the posts above by you and MCR1016 and laughing about what my hubby took and brought back each time he was home. Training was a different story and I wished we had seen the packing list for newbies -he thought he didn't take much and thankfully his trainer was the best! Each time he comes home now he takes a little more off the truck and keeps the basics- including fridge, microwave, box heater, tv and some food and clothes. I think by the end of his day (he's sort of a dedicated run and has to unload) he is so tired a little TV or DVD and he's out!!

Sorry don't want to say the company as it's a public post but so far he has not had any problems with his company (it's a big one too not small or local) He has gone in with the attitude of I will do a good job and do the best I can and treat others well-which is basically what alot on here post and what we should all do everyday. He gets along with his FM and except for a few instances of getting transferred or put on hold for calls he has gotten someone when needed. Hopefully this keeps up. The more time he is getting on the road the more comfortable he is getting too. I think the idea of plan for anything and everything help too!

I'll tell you-this site keeps me sane and I so much have apprechiated what I have read on here good or bad. I will read threads to hubby too for a laugh or so we can learn. Favorite thread for a huge laugh: Werner trainer craps himself. The guy that wrote that should be a ''real'' writer!! I just re-read it Sunday while we were relaxing and I was laughing so hard I cried!!

    BULLDOG_88 and mcr1016 Thank this.

    Hello Again Sammycat!
I must add something on the record of when I was with my trainer at CRST. He was an owner op. We were driving through new mexico and I had just laid down to go to sleep ( Team Operation ) and I had eaten one of those "Buffalo Chicken" sandwiches from subwaymAbout halfway through new mexico I woke up with some pretty bad stomach pain. I asked moe to stop at the nearest rest stop or truck stop for me to go to the bathroom. He said ok and I sat back in the sleeper and realized after a few minutes that I wasn't going to make it. So I closed the curtains and saw a wal-mart sack and I went poop in it. lol!!! After I did my business moe hollered out to me " What is that awful smell?! " I said " I farted ". Well we got to the nearest rest area and I was acting like everything was normal and was just going to pick the tied walmart bag up when he wasn't looking but he saw it and said "What is that" and I said "I kinda couldn't make it" and he started gagging and going eww and opened his door and almost fell out of his truck trying to get out. Even though it was a really embarrassing moment for me and I was trying not to laugh... I died laughing and got out of the truck on the passenger side so he wouldn't see me laughing and walked over to the trash and threw it away. Thank God it all went in the bag as planned..lol! Anyways that is my funny story so far, hope you enjoyed it and had a good laugh on me... I still think about it and laugh all the time.. Do you and you husband have emails... I would like to stay in touch with you. Tell me how you wish to exchange them as I do not wish to post mine on here.
    Thanks,
    -BULLDOG_88

    Hey Bulldog too funny:biggrin_25522: !!!
I don't know how to post out side or personally on this website but I am sure there are ways and maybe someone will help? I see that sometimes people write PM me (???) I tried to add you to my friend list but you don't show up....agree don't want to post my personal email! Hate to say it but you never know who is watching....

Okay it's early and only had one cup of coffee.....PM personal message but I can't send them until I have 50 posts and I don't so far. You click on the persons' name and you can send message- I presume like private mail on here. Still trying to figure things out on here.....okay I think I friended you check it out!!

Hi, Everyone! Well, I'm suriving and hubby seems to be doing good. I have to admit thought I've been feeling sorry for myself the past two days. I miss him terribly and Tuesday night I was pretty emotional. I love it when he comes home and hate the goodbyes.

It has been a BIG change for me and I do think the time apart from one another has been good since it has been a stressful year for us. And you know this is a new way for us to live our lives together and it will just take time to adjust.
I'm so thankful that I've found this forum. It has given me many laughs, and helps me feel better because I know there are wives out there that feel just like me. And the great people that I'm begininng to know.

Sammycat - I'm glad you got a good laugh. I wasn't exagerrating though....

Bulldog- I'm glad you enjoyed my post. I hope that you and your wife are able to go out on the road together. I'm looking forward to going OTR with my hubby too if I can work it into my work schedule!

Hey MC-got a laught about what? I'm confused?
I thought Bulldogs post was funny.
...and trust me I am feeling just like you :biggrin_2556: some nights this just about is me to a ''T'' and others:biggrin_25524: it's a tough adjustment all around. I agree this site is so helpful-makes me laugh and I have learned do much- I pass lots on to hubby when
we talk and sometimes read the funnier posts to him. I work from home so talk about having opposite jobs!! I think the hardests is not knowing when he is coming home, like tonight we just got off the phone and he is not sure if he picks up a load goes with it or comes home. (he is on a dedicated route)
