Amazing how thus thread gets so many new companies, but the best company thread stays about the same. New drivers need to take heed.

Yes you are right I personally noticed a while back the thread was just being flooded with companies no one has even heard of and all seems to be in Chicago area And there always made by a person who’s never been here before and they only make the 1 post and never again .The people writing the threads would perceive themselves as veteran drivers taking jobs at the strangest companies just make no sense . I quit even reading them they all are the same

For some, it's a last chance. They've washed out of legit companies, and these 1099 wonders are all that's left.
But then are a also those who take everything the company is telling them as 100% truth, without doing 5 minutes worth of research. "I can take home $2000.00 a week? Get my choice of loads? Work towards owning my own truck? Where do I sign???"Long FLD, Speedy356, panty snacher and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yes very good point you make sir, think it has a lot to do with mostly human emotions when one considers which is the easiest to do rubbish or build up, we live in a very imperfect world with so many ups and downs, whether it's the motor car we purchase, or just an ice cream at a vendor on the beach we will aways be either impressed or totally disappointed. With transport companies there is going to be few if any that will be perfect where 100 % of drivers are totally satisfied, in fact I'd be very suspicious of any company that has 100 % good reviews, there'll always be one unsatisfied customer it's like that "Trustpilot" review I'm always very dubious of all good reviews, rather I'd look at the complaints and watch how the company deal with the issue raised. As the old saying goes "When emotions are high logic is low"

I mostly read them for entertainment value. It's mildly amusing at times to watch the self-inflicted drama of others unfold.
I also enjoy when an accused company representative comes on to refute the claims the driver made. There are a few that make a pretty good case against the driver.
We all know there is no shortage of trash company's, but there are also plenty of trash driver's out there. I try to weigh it 50/50.Speedy356, 48Packard, TurkeyCreekJackJohnson and 1 other person Thank this. -
I like it when the complaining driver has worked there 18 months and complains of low miles, co cheating him on his pay, never gets home, drives junk truck always in shop, etc etc
Rugerfan, snowlauncher, Speedy356 and 2 others Thank this. -
I’m sure you’re right. The internet job searching I guess definitely has it’s advantages but also the downside that goes with everything. I personally never really looked for a job that way .But it probably is the way a lot of drivers do.And don’t like to use the term back in the day.But I guess I will.It always seemed helpful to talk to drivers working at a company to get a good feel drivers used to do by accident a lot when they actually ate together at the counter in a truck stop when we actually talk about the companies we drove for,now we seem to busy racing a ELD and just grabbing a Big Mac and eating while we drive. And play with our phones on our rest breakLonesome Thanks this.

That's not the point.
The company's are stealing and there's proof everywhere . The driver is forced to go to the next company weather or not there not fit to drive due to being stolen from.
These company's steal 4000.00- 5000.00 consistantly from drivers -
When the driver gets in a accident. Government agency are denying the facts.
That they were forced to drive after being stolen from amounts of 4000.00- 5000.00 -
Especially in these cases the company should be FATTIGUED BY ANYTHING THAT CAN GO WRONG WITH THERE INVOLVMENT IN 58 STATE SHIPPER TO SHIPPER DELIVERY
