Dog stuck in tar after truck accident gets rescued by strangers | Watch
A dramatic dog rescue unfolded in Quito, Ecuador, after a tanker truck overturned and spilled tar across a busy roadway on November 13. The heartbreaking footage, filmed by Alex Pila, shows the helpless dog stuck in thick, sticky tar, struggling desperately to break free. Unable to move her back legs, the dog appeared completely trapped as the dangerous substance hardened around her paws. Good Samaritans and first responders quickly rushed to the scene. Firefighters carefully placed metal sheets over the tar so they could safely reach the frightened animal without becoming trapped themselves. Working together, civilians and emergency crews managed to pull the dog to safety in an incredible roadside rescue. According to local news reports, the accident happened when a semi-truck overturned. The vehicle reportedly did not have an environmental permit and was carrying approximately 10,000 tons of tar, according to Primicias. This powerful animal rescue highlights the bravery of first responders and the compassion of strangers who refused to walk away.
