I'm sending my (2) Ionic starters back after a year running them in parallel with Odyssey AGM Group 31s. They never performed to spec. See page 10 of this thread.

    We'll see how they respond.

Litime batteries have been performers in my EPU setup. Solid. 210 cycles, cold and hot weather solid.

I'm changing my Ionics to Litime on the starter bank, No AGM's.

It's a mathematical myth you're alternator is going to explode because the BMS shuts down charging, it just goes to ground.

We'll see if Ionic warranties my expensive batteries that won't cycle even off the truck.

Darn, you had to post this when I was ready to install them. I'm second guessing if I should just get another $380 AGM which would be about 1520 for all fours. I sure don't want these expensive batteries to only last a couple of years. I was expecting it to last at least 5 yrs.

Buy 2 Litime Bluetooth BMS self heating group 31's, and adjust your truck power cabling as needed.

Saves 160 Lbs off your truck.

These are the one's I got...

Are these starter batteries? If so, I might send the ionics back since it's within 30 days and it's 1k less then ionics, maybe get these 4. What happened with your ionics that you are sending it back? Sure don't want any kind of electrical surge to damage my truck.

Let me know how those work out. Not sure they will work for starter batteries. What kind of crank do they put out? Should be an interesting test to see if they last very long.

Did you end up getting them? I was finally able to install 4 of the ionics and I'm going to see how they work since it was too late to return them for a full refund since my initial purchase date.

I did notice that my RPM was running at 1500 at 12th gear when the agm were running at 1100 rpm. Wondering if it just that the ECM is relearning since I didn't do any relearn after I installed the ionics. I can't seem to rename them on the app though. Hopefully tech support will be able to resolve that, still waiting on them to call me back.

Ok, ran the batteries for the week. Doesn't seem to charge completely to 100% and doesn't seem like it's draining evenly. Seems like it's draining some from one battery at a time then a little off another. Another problem is can't seem to rename the batteries so can't determine which one is draining and which one isn't.

So, called LithiumHub support for help in renaming them and they were ABSOLUTELY TRASH with MAJOR attiitude. I would never get these batteries again from them and would return them if I could just because of their LACK OF support and ATROCIOUS customer service. Unfortunately, it's beyond the 30 days so I'm stuck with them . I tried to get help trying to rename them and they deliberately hung up on me twice and never called me back, as they said they would, from my initial call a week before I recontacted them again. Very unfortunate since a mediocre product would be excellent with great customer support.

Ur alternator will never charge to full on lithium batteries. They need 14 volts and then a float charge. Get a good DC to DC charger of 40 amps or better and that’ll solve your problem

My alt goes to 14.5 volts and charges them to full every time. What are you talking about?

My 2020 Freightliner pushes my Litium EPU bank and Ionics to 14.2 Volts on a standard 2020 Delco Remy alternator.
