Massive overhaul coming to the motor carrier/cdl system announced by Sean Duffy

    Among some of the changes coming… There will be no more self certification allowed by CDL schools… There Will be changes to the CDL exam where The CDL exam will only be allowed to be given in English… And they are going to overhaul the motor carrier registration system to Strengthen the system against chameleon carriers… And they are also overhauling the ELD system to prevent fraud from happening as well… Among other things announced in this announcement from him

    Belive it when i see it. Trumps team hasnt exactly been very good on the followthrough to a lot of their promises so far. And even when they try certain partys dig their heels in.

    Motus is supposed to make it easier to identify multiple names, address, ect making it harder to have a "spare" compony to fall back on.

    Maybe we should completely retest existing CDL holders as well, really washout those who don't pack the gear.

    Get rid of ELD'S/HOS and only issue CDL's to people with safe driving records . Hold owner of truck liable as much as driver.

    Prison sentences for mega carrier CEO's when their company drivers kill people in accidents.
