It's truly sad (& of course, tragic)...to see the new depths/lows to which our industry has declined...& the seemingly endless parade of innocent lives this gubmint-created problem continues to destroy... :angryfire: :banghead: :( :crybaby:

Another foreign chameleon carrier. This guy and the carrier will walk away with a slap on the wrist for killing a man. The brokers (or whoever) who greedily loaded this carrier won't be held to account for anything. The companies loading these carriers up need to be held to account or this problem will never end. Shippers/receivers whoever is paying the freight and/or brokers tendering loads if any. Them having no skin in the liability is inexcusable.

What kind of effect do you think it would have if the news agency also said who the freight shipper was? Would it cause the shipper to lose business if there was a boycott of their product because of the trucker was not qualified? And would the broker suffer from loss of business when they are outed in the news story because other shippers didn't want to be associated with them?

Maybe but that's just fodder for a news cycle that everyone will forget about it by the next cycle. Legal and financial consequences with teeth would cause a more positive change.

That driver is going to prison, there’s no getting around that. Especially in Indiana.

I've been preaching about greed on this forum for years now. Its apparently being ignored by the majority especially with many carriers, brokers and shippers not caring about anything other than money espeically in these times. I don't believe it will ever change in Trucking even though its come to light in 2025.

    Lonwolv54 Thanks this.
