I been eyeing one of them for sale. Has a continental 6 cylinder. Due to financial embarrassments beyond my control I can’t have it. I’d sure like to though

Diamond T used a Continental 6 as well. I missed a 47-48 model years ago for $300. Had the Howell drilling rig on it when my uncle drove it home….Oxbow, CAXPT, exhausted379 and 8 others Thank this. -
I do a lot of work for several volunteer fire departments around. They get some of them old military trucks gave to them I think for tankers etc. I put in lots of clutches over the years but as far as actually having to work on the motor it doesn’t happen.
A clutch is easy peasy. Pull the floor run a big timber across the doors and a come along. Divorced transfer case so nothing really in the way. With the floor out about don’t have get under them.
The drive axles can get a bit complicated they are bull gear top load.The_vett, CAXPT, exhausted379 and 11 others Thank this. -
Do you know how long the tracks last on asphalt and off-road? Approximately?

Spent the afternoon at Moms house tearing out the main bathroom. It's big enough, but had a 10ft cabinet with way too much storage that she didn't need, and the entry door not wide enough to get even the smaller wheelchair into.
Just making it safer for her and whoever is helping. Took out the tub and will do a big walk in shower, then just a pedestal sink.
Got down to pulling the tub out, and I dropped a wrench behind the foot end, and it sounded like it hit the ground. What?
Sure enough, got the tub pulled back a bit, and it looked like a rat had made a nest, and yeah, big hole in the floor for them to come in.
Finally got that heavy ####### pulled the rest of the way out. Wait, WTF is that?
Yeah, it's a fkn grinner in a trash bag. Made itself a nice warm little nest in the hollow recess of the tub.
