Looking to get into Hazmat/Tanker

Driver cam inside...i would choose better pay like for example transwood(cam inside) regional but pays more, 80 cents loaded and hourly i think 30/hr or 35 (on duty ).

I also talked to linden driver he said he had to leave for quantix after groendyke bouth them out.

To the original poster man I’m at AAA Cooper as well. Man we’re down to working 3 days a week. I’m currently looking to get back into tanker work myself. It’s rough in Louisiana right now

Guessing Swifts purchase of AAA Cooper isn't what it was all cracked up to be....

 

Living out west can be problematic when trying to get to work across town in the Houston area.. Most of the tanker jobs are in Baytown, La Porte, Pasadena, & Deer Park. With that being said Costco and Domino's Pizza in Katy/Brookshire is closer. And they pay 100k plus P/Yr. Or for Hazmat & Tanker that's closer with less traffic. Try Western International Gas in Bellville. Then there is Walmart Transportation in Sealy if they are hiring at that location. And Also RB Stewart (bucces) for gas hauling in katy.

 

Costco has yard out west of Houston, don't know what the pay but they drive day cabs. A bunch of warehouses out that way maybe find a hostler job until something comes along.

 

Excellent post. If I may add one thing, Academy's corporate headquarters is in Katy so I'm willing to bet their yard is somewhere around there.

 

I haven't seen any Academy company trucks. I guess they have contract with Swift for power these days?

 

That may be so, I haven't been around those parts in a while. But they used to have little daycab Petes that had the Academy logo on the door.
