Hood glare on 379, thinking of painting it matt or flat black

Geez I thought I was cheap.
I would knock the clear or top coat down to a matte finish with 400 grit

 

THAT’S funny stuff !!

 

I’ve often considered painting the top flat black. If your paints all good, maybe matte black vinyl is better. It will protect the current paint from fading. Change your mind take it off. Ever sell the Truck, paints still good.

 

This stuff should fix the problem.

Have not tried as far as a hood only wrap. fairly sure it would work well

 

I throw a baseball hat on the dash to block the glare. Only get the glare occasionally.

 

No wonder I’ve never noticed, that’s because I do t have it. Took this today, this is what I see at eye level, just my hood ornament like I mentioned b4.
