Clarify what you mean by “DOT safety inspection”
Annual truck/trailer inspections?
FMCSA safety audit?
Roadside DOT inspections?tscottme Thanks this. -
Compliance with what specific requirement? Are you asking about the annual DOT inspection or what exactly? Feel free to use enough words to explain what you are asking. None of us were there when something happened to you and we only know what you tell us about what happened to you.Concorde Thanks this.

My son (non cdl) had an Ohio State boy tell him he needed a safety inspection (off the record). Son has F350 with a 20’ flatbed. I’m Assuming it is the annual inspection he was referring to so just asking if that rig is required like semisnextgentrucker, tscottme, dosgatos and 3 others Thank this.

Okay, he has a non CDL “Hot Shot” setup.
That clears up the confusion but unfortunately I can’t give you an educated response.
Just be patient and someone with higher intelligence will respond..25(2)+2 Thanks this.
