Seems that this place is no longer there; was replaced with something more "modern" about 5 years ago. I stopped there once about 36 years ago, and it was......just OK.

Good stuff. Filmed in 97 for anyone who is curious.

There was a lot of great truck stops in the 90's.

    A few trashy ones too.

Yes but not in every Petro location. Their corporate office has made several changes since Covid including closing sit down restaurants in some of their truck stops and opting for either all fast food or leasing the sit down restaurant area to private companies like IHOP. Also a good example is their TA division which has closed many of their Country Pride restaurants and left them shut down collecting dust. If they had less drivers eating in their restaurants and eating in their trucks they have decided to shutter the restaurants, raise the costs of showers and parking just to keep a profit. I don't like the extra costs as I was a patron of their sit down restaurants during my career.

Same here. Sitting down on something other than the driver seat was pretty nice. Especially if they served good food. And the waitress had a nice smile on her face when she walked up.
