Im an O/O. I move containers from the ports and railyards. We are paid by the load. Monthly payments are impacted by downpayment. Normally, used trucks are $20,000 or less. Downpayment is normally 25%ish and monthly payment is normally about $1000. It really depends on the price and the seller.

This is in the Swift forum. Is it meant for Swift employees? Does Swift actually have O/O's? I can't imagine a worse fate than owning a truck and still being affiliated with those clowns.

I'll answer the 3 questions though, and no I'm not a Swift employee, never have been, never would be.

Lots. $0. If you want to call it work.

He already works for Swift. Some of his previous postings are from Swift as a company driver, and he was getting hosed back then. Go figure.

There is a whole section here that is dedicated to O/O.
Check it out, and you will probably get some better answers.
