I’ll just update my opinion on this one matter. I hope you spec’d the sears seat or swapping for something else.
The gramag seat is a total pile of -!$& .Maybe I just got a bad one but a couple Fridays ago I got back to the yard and I went to get out and I could barely move. I had noticed a little lower back pain a couple days leading up to the Friday but it went off the charts that day .
Pain all across my lower back and right thigh.
Tried all kinds of adjustments, different cushion pads. Seat is just sore out in 7 months and 65000 miles. I only weigh 165…
Anyway got a sears atlas 2 going in finally in the next day or so.

Sons Hero and Oxbow Thank this.

I hate Sears seats, ordered the Pete ones with heat, if it winds up being that bad I’ll end up swapping it for something else

did not spend the 1100 for ac and massage though

the last truck I had with Sears seats was also probably 2018ish so maybe they are a different design but I ordered the factory peterbilt seats, the GFs 567 have them for the short amount of time I was driving that, was told that was the only way to get dual arm rests and heat

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I ordered the heated seats in my blue 579. Driver side had dual armrests, passenger side only gets the left one because the seat is mounted closer to the door than the driver side. The boss orders the Sears seats in all the 589’s that he’s getting now and they only come with the right arm rest on the driver seat because the seat is wider. Our shop puts low bases on all the seats and if they’re not mounted perfect the seat controls rub the map pocket on the door. As far as comfort I can’t say. I haven’t had an issue with either seat. The only seat I truly hate is a Wide Ride, just doesn’t fit me for some reason. On cold days I do miss not having heated seats in the 589 though.

I think my legacy’s are pretty wide too, I have to crouch by the shifter right and flip both arm rests down so I can step and twist to get in the bunk now, which is also not helping my back

the 567 has a 48” flat top on it and I swear I have more room then my 60” with the small hole

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I’m 5’10” and weigh 210-ish and I can leave both armrest up when I go into the bunk (58” flattop) of the truck I’m driving.

When my truck was down I had to drive a W9 with the 62” bunk and it felt cramped. And that’s coming from someone who spent 10 years in a KW. But I’ve been in a wide cab Pete in various forms since 2019.

    Oxbow and abyliks Thank this.

    So similar build,

I never cared for the aero cabs either. Seems like by the time you got the seat back far enough for leg room you couldn’t reach anything on the dash or even get the clutch down far enough for the clutch brake

Oxbow and Long FLD Thank this.

whatever seat you get don't get the bostrom wide ride with Serta foam. That seat #### near crippled me before I got rid of it. Just because the Serta foam is good for mattresses does not mean it's any good for truck seats.
