Here’s a question for the group.. I have a load of wean pigs to deliver to northern Illinois tomorrow. This, obviously, is out of my 150 mile radius exemption. What do you guys do on Ag exemption out of 150 miles? A buddy of mine says he shows everything on Line 4 (on duty) on a paper log and then notates at the bottom “Ag exempt”. Is this the way? I have no ELD in the truck. Thanks in advance!

 

You’re gonna get various answers here and I’m not sure there is a sure enough proper way. I do feel the way your buddy is doing it is more than fine.


For what’s it’s worth I always run a book that looks legal on house rules or not at all cause I never understood the answer to the question your asking

 

Thanks man. Yea I’ve squeaked out of the radius before and didn’t run one at all because I figured too, if I did it would probably be wrong anyway. So right or wrong, I’ll probably just stay with that mindset. Thank you!

So— I didn’t know it, but evidently “GD Booger Eat’n Moronic SOBs” translated into messican is about the funniest thing you could say to a crew of them when you are trying to back a boom truck down a very tight alley way in a Sugar Plant and you 3 spotters and all three are giving different signals— I don’t even speak messican and I got to laughing when they all three started their belly laughs
