Yep, forgot all about no sales tax in Montana!
I usually stop at the Dealership in Billing’s on my way through. Jackson Group Peterbilt. Another good one that can usually get you in without too much waiting along with Dobbs.
Rush is the worst and it doesn’t matter how many trucks you bought from them and then their stupid policy of having a credit card on file to order parts..something I refuse to do.Siinman, cke, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this. -
Make sure put some soapy water on that water pump oring when mounting the pump back in the housing. Its quite a tight fit. I tore mine a couple weeks ago when i was replacing on a 2250 isx.. it should slide in nice and smooth with lots of soapy waterSiinman, cke, Speedy356 and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks for the tip, was going to use grease but I like your recommendation better.
Now that you mention the o ring, after I drove away I was regretting not getting an extra. There’s not much to them and I can see how easily it could be to destroy one.Siinman, cke, Big Road Skateboard and 1 other person Thank this. -
Its certainly pretty easy to do it. I ordered 2 of them for my 2nd attempt.. lol
If u got to fight it going in, its gonna rip it. Which is what happened to me.. if its a struggle just pull it out and can even just use straight dawn all around the ring itself and spray inside the housing real good..should just push in with a little bit of hand pressure and slide right in.. maybe a couple tippy taps with a hammer to get it seated once its in. u can use oil but its gonna make the o ring expand and might contaminate the coolant. Anything is better than putting it in dry thoughSiinman, cke, Big Road Skateboard and 3 others Thank this. -
It's a waste of time and good, honest effort trying to figure on the spot market being reliable for however long. It's always going to be a roller coaster. Even good times will have some valleys. There's a handful of regular posters here not leased on anywhere that rarely, some of them actually never use freight brokers to load their truck. That’s what you need to be putting your effort into. Brokered freight and the brokers who push it is fleeting.

I don't know man, I used to agree with you but the spot market just carries on and carries on. I think it always has, always will. The more BS with the economy and the world, the more the spot market shines because it thrives on instability.
I'm definitely not saying you're gonna get rich but if you want a decent income, schedule and no responsibilities when you want to take time off there's still no better way IMO. I averaged almost $3/pm all miles last year when everyone was complaining about <$2 freight and I didn't struggle to do it. Doing even better so far this year.cke, BoostedTeg and Siinman Thank this. -
Yeah…. Um, no. It’s not.cke Thanks this.

Who cares about pm avg. that’s not saying much. $3 pm on how many miles?
-
If you factor in inflation cost over the few years the average RPM ahould be around $3 CPM. But tons of Brokers are still averaging them down under $2 cpm. This video speaks for itself.
@13:20 I hope thats an A.I. photo. But a car hauler pulling bales of hay os something new I've seen in my 30 plus years of trucking.Last edited: Mar 7, 2026
