From what I recall the WK was already taken off when I started driving commercially in 87. The other toll roads in Ky still had tolls until the mid 90’s.

I believe in cameras and back up cameras for those cameras. The picture is a cheap Amazon $100 special that goes to my IPhone. Nexar is the brand name but it works very well. I also had a 4 Camera system that was hard wired and saved to the memory that was Falcon Electronics. That system paid for itself 10 times over when I was sideswiped because it showed all 4 sides of my rig. It got me paid for 3 weeks of loss of use I wouldn’t have gotten without the video evidence.The_vett, Speedy356, IH Truck Guy and 5 others Thank this.

But I agree wk to dyersburg to 155 is much better than dealing with Memphis and Nashville. I’ve even gone to popular bluff and picked up 67. I hate that stretch of 40 from Memphis to little stone.

That was back when I first started driving too. I remember those$1.00 or $1.25 toll booths on the Natcher. They were on the Audubon between Owensboro and Henderson too. Back then I used to think how laughable it was paying $1.25 tolls compared to the $20+ they ripped us for up on the east coast. Even that $20+ seems laughable now. I can't imagine what the tolls are like between Baltimore and NYC anymore.The_vett, Speedy356, Flat Earth Trucker and 3 others Thank this.
