Bought ready to put her in the wind? Might be cheaper to hold out another week or so given the price of fuel. FSC should take care of that though right?exhausted379, MACK E-6, Sons Hero and 12 others Thank this.

Yeah i been ready this week just havent found anything for loads out of here...seems i missed the rb auction freight out of phx by a week. Theres a bunch of stuff in vegas from a mining expo or some event there. Just trying to avoid all that deadhead and find something close to the house so i can still afford the tow bill if i need one
..
Reminds me of when i went and got my authority in 2022 . By the time my irp came back and i had my plates and everything and could get out on the road, fuel was at $6 a gallon. When 2 months earlier it was like 3$.. kinda frustrating but it is what it isFriend, exhausted379, FullMetalJacket and 13 others Thank this. -
Yeah, Con Expo just finished up in Vegas, and a Ritchie Bros Auction in Vegas ended Friday.
I wasn't thinking - I have a thousand gallon off-road tank here in the yard that is about empty. We have blended fuel in it in the winter (which we really didn't need this year), and I was waiting to get straight #2. Screwed that one up!exhausted379, Sons Hero, CAXPT and 9 others Thank this. -

Had a KBB truck with a load of bar on hit a reefer full of frozen hamburger at a red light. Freightliner Columbia was inside of the reefer. Everything caught fire. Friday night Bellevue fire called for a disabled commercial on US 20. We were in Fremont on US 20. Guys were busy on second shift. I grabbed a 30 ton rotator and pulled out. 17 miles away I could see a plum of black smoke. I know it was more than disabled. But this happened often. KBB driver had a medical event. Hit reefer at red light above 60 mph with 70k of bar. It was a recovery operation. But chances of getting him out slim. The trucks had meted through the pavement before I got there. I had that 30 nrc and Pete 379 about 7-8 foot in the air pulling on that east trailer to get him out. I could have destroyed that wrecker. But it was before computer controls. Mechanical hydraulics. Manual input on levers. Anyhow it was beyond to late. So it was a all night clean up. Everything towed to yard. Well that burnt tractor was covered in burger, reefer covered in burger. After about 3 days, you couldn't open the door to the impound yard from shop. It just blew rotten meat into the building.
Next was a van full of mayo that went left of center and hit a pig hauler on a hot summer day. Learned the Sheriff's office and Ohio state patrol needs better range practice. I pulled my guys back to the trucks so no one got shot. They ended up letting a few farmers finish shooting the hogs.exhausted379, Gatordude, Feedman and 5 others Thank this. -
I just seen this. I now have a idea for a daily driver. But not baby blue or patina. -
That would have been nice, but it had been raining here, and got projects to do. I figured I'd do the seasonal switch over of the garage contents, and decided to check the HD to see if they still had Ice Melt on hand, and they did. So I went and got 8 50 lb bags to refill the 7 dead soldier buckets I'd used up, pour the emergency Blue Heat (salt with Calcium Chloride coated) and consolidate it. Then filled the buckets, took the 25 lb pet friendly buckets and filled them with the remaining bags so I'm ear to ear with Ice Melt. 10 buckets of calcium chloride, 2 buckets of crap blue heat, and 3 buckets of converted pet friendly. NOW I'm ready to do the season change over tomorrow...if it's as nice. That of course, is a full day's work, so I'll have to hold off on bike riding as I also have plans to completely replace the driveway in sections, paint the house, fix the vinyl siding on the garage and maybe start digging to level the crawlspace for drainage, and maybe encapsulation...plus clean up the tools into the new tool box, etc.. you get the idea. No time for fun.

I need to go back on the road for a vacation.
