I looked into Oakley when I had my own truck. Their clean shaven requirement combined with the hood mirrors requirement was the only reason I didn't go there. I look like a thumb without a beard and I didn't want to drill holes in my hood for no reason. Hood mirrors are useful, but in a modern truck like a T680, you can do fine without them.

I pulled both frameless and full frame end dumps in Hawaii. I would use the level on my phone to make sure I was level side to side before raising it up.

He’s at Bruce Oakley, not the flaky food grade place in Florida.

Yup, we lost a good one there… it’s been an honor running at the same company and I’m looking forward to following your adventures at the new place… I hope they are a good fit for you and you a good fit for them.

    Blessings

Dumped my first two loads, first one was a load of roofing granules that I picked up in NLR (North Little Rock) going to Ardmore, Oklahoma. This unload takes about 1 to 1.5 hours because your unloading out of the “coal chute” (the small door in the back door of the trailer) and feed onto a conveyer belt which takes it into a large storage silo at a shingle plant. The second delivery was a load of stone I picked up in NLR going to a stone and gravel yard in Kentucky. Both loads went well, and were pretty simple deliveries.

My original trainer has to have some truck repairs done tomorrow, so we split ways this afternoon, and in the morning I will meet a new trainer in Memphis. He has been here 11 years, so it will be nice to get two different perspectives this week.

Loaded with a few of your cohorts today south of Tampa, this time of year there’s a bunch of fertilizer that gets transferred up to Lake City FL, probably run in to you one of these days.
