Another Fatal U-Turn

There was another one in Florida recently..

Man......he went grocery shopping on those charges. A plea deal won't do him no justice......pardon the pun. My condolences to the lady and her family that passed.

 

According to the news report, the deceased, Bernice Franklin, was male.

Never heard of a male given the name of Bernice.

 

What's his name? Gerasimos Livioratos,,,hmm, not John Smith anymore. So, they're gonna throw the book at this dude, I wonder, was it an illegal U turn, or just a poor decision in the fog? Weed in the truck, more common than I bet the world wants to know. Always hated driving in the fog.

Weed has become way more common with so many states legalizing it and drivers not understanding they still fall under the Federal Regulations against it. We recently fired a driver who had several years with us an 10+ in trucking, he bought a weed vape pen in AR while on home time to try, got called for a random, was dumb founded it counted against him because it was legal to buy.

 

And this is why anyone who values their CDL needs to just abstain from anything much stronger then 1 or 2 beers or classic cancer sticks. It is WAY to easy to lose your livelyhood to something dumb playing with mind altering substances. Just not worth it.

 

I agree, but there are also issues now with cases of driver's never having a clue it entered their system, you use beer as and example, in Ohio you can by THC alcoholic drinks that unless you really look at the label look no different than the bright labels you see on most small brewery cans, or you have the CBD products that have no actual control over them, that end up having THC in them as well.
