Problem is, once you bring them in, they're there for the duration. Would you be able to put them out after a few hours when it's time for you to sleep? And according to the Good Samaritan law, once you begin to render aid, you're committed.

Nope and I wouldn’t. I’d sleep up front with my head on my steering wheel if need be, to make sure they were comfortable and safe and it wouldn’t be the first time I did that either.

Happened once for me, late 1980's I-40 WB NM. The state closed the road with no warning due to whiteout conditions. It looked like Wyoming.
Halfway more or less between Santa Rosa and Clines Corners. They parked the plow trucks blocking the road and left us there to fend for ourselves. No word on the CB or KKOB. Blocked us in from early afternoon and cars started running out of gas in a few hours. Back in those days, people were all wiling to share and get through it. I was low on food but everyone pitched in and just like that the next day about noon the plows fired up and led us onward.

It’s a remake of a movie of the same title from the 70s

Delivered to my last stop this morning. Bounced over to Portland for the load of shingles. Non eventful 2 hrs or so. Could've been closer to 3.

Got fuel at the TA in Troutdale and it was very happily empty.

If dispatch makes a plan for me to drop my load for someone else to deliver, I may turn him down. I have a lot of my gear on the load and it would just be easier to deliver than it would to pick up replacements from the shop. But we'll see.

    Friend Thanks this.
