I gently backed my fully loaded (75k gross) trailer tires up on a curb in order to maneuver out of a loading area. Then i noticed my air bag was blown. Did I cause the air bag to blow by rolling up on the curb?

I don't think so, air bags wear just like anything else, I'd check to make sure nothing was rubbing on the air bag itself, it's an easy fix. You may have to tie off the air line going to it, as you'll never build up enough air with it blown.

I would check the other bags for dry rot, wear, and cracks. Might need to change others before they blow.

Could have been a rotted bag and the curb made it fail sure. But bags are a wear part and get especially beat up in winter. Salt, weather, road slime, small rocks, bugs, and anything else that may be encountered on a road can hit them and chew them up over time. And they can just blow at random or flex and open up along a wear seam.

General rule i was always taught is 5 years or 150k miles you change them regardless of if they need it. 100k miles if your always loaded heavy and haul in places with abrasive materials like lava dust or chemicals a lot as it can cause premature wear. You can go longer obviously often much longer. But at 150k you generally head off issues and bags are cheap. Easy to replace yourself if your handy with a wrench.

did the bag actually blow apart or did it just come apart bag from the the plastic mounts on each end..If the air bag came apart .I did it on a 379 the truck and trailer was parked at a very strange angle and down a hill while loading .Since you stated a out of the ordinary angle about a curb I would assume that it actually just came apart so you might have not been able to help the situation but probably what caused it.I don’t really know if letting the air out of the bags while at a strange angle until loaded then move up to level ground would help never talk to any one about that.

The Firestone air bags for the air ride on my cab straight from Kenworth have lasted an average of about 2 years before they seem to dry rot out. I can agree from experience that Firestone is definitely having issues with airbags. On my 3rd and final set

It's the cheap $#!+ Chinese rubber they are probably using. I remember years ago, we rarely had an air bag blow out.
