    Hello there,
I am looking to purchase a Box truck and operate it myself with a team of 1-2 employees, Here I have listed a couple of questions id be glad if anyone answered a few:

What are you guys looking at for Monthly expenses and what loads make you the most money?
In 2026 is it a business worth operating?
Would a CDL help me out or is it unnecessary as I would be looking into expanding into more class 2-3 Trucks.
Would I be looking at a positive ROI for my first year of business?
What job board or LTL carrier leases to you?

    Thanks you for your time.

Some things to consider.....why a 20ft box truck ? Registration and insurance are constant. Depending on your customers, most loads would be thru a broker. At times you will have to decide weather to keep sitting or deadhead 200 mi to get a load and is that load good paying ? You will have to deal with slow paying brokers at times. What about your office ? Is it a 500 S.F. commercial space or your kitchen table at home ? Or even the front seat of your truck ? The 2 employees.....are they trusted ? Just a couple things to consider.

    Who is driving?

    What is your target market?

What are you required to turn in a day/week/month?

Straight truck can be lucritive but is also can be very cheap freight.

You can do appliance deliveries for Lowe’s. They are looking for box trucks with two people.

I can’t give you any financial advice other than to say it’s probably something you want to be the driver. I used to deliver high end appliances and it was a normal day to collect $200 ish each per day in tips.
Don’t know how people tip in Florida but I’ve always paid $20 per appliance to the driver.

If it’s something you want to look into I can post the contact. They just sent me another email looking for a truck..
