Figure out which way or if the hips tilt. Measure as many body dimensions as possible, feed it into Chatgpt or other AI along with the source of the pain and see what it comes up with. Include age, weight etc.

I can’t drive with it on, or maybe just cause I’m not used to it, when moving freight or messing around in the yard I’ve worn it, I’m still doing PT trying to solve the actual problem though and use the brace for the “hey stupid” moments

That’s actually good. The only way I know to improve is to strengthen what is weak.

When asked why we have to PT at 0500 every morning the reply was..."Stronger people are harder to kill." - MCPO Hayes

Most back pain is due to weak muscles unless X-rays determine mechanical issues such as worn or herniated discs, spinal stenosis etc
A back brace weakens your muscles

I wore a back brace all day other than sleeping for 3 1/2 months following spinal surgery
I could tell as soon as I walked without the brace the muscles weak, instant searing pain.
PT got muscles moving enough after a week to return driving however I carried on with the PT daily for 3 months afterwards.

    Rideandrepair and tscottme Thank this.

I have a pull up bar in the truck. Do push ups at home. Also do Farmers walk with 95lb in each hand every weekend.
As soon as I stop exercising, 3-4 weeks later my lower back starts hurting.
Also if I don't exercise legs, they start hurting as well. Muscles just get so tight from sitting all day long.
This job sucks so bad when it comes to health

Doesn't have to be thick. Sitting on any kind of wallet is going to get your pelvis out of alignment and cause lower back pain.

That 95lb set for the farmer’s carry is what I call Heavy Cardio. It’s amazing how fast the farmer’s carry builds stamina. Plus it gives you enough grip strength to kill someone with a slap.
