Ya I agree they is way better BBQ. Way back in the day when I was really small we’d stop at Sweet Peas which is gone now at Wheatley. This was way before the original people retired and sold it to foreigners. It seemed good to a boy in the late 70’s.


For my fried pies I got a source close to home. I won’t say they is best in the world but a close second would be a fair claim.

 

I see we've already forgotten the "I wish winter was over" point of view.

 

Sorry to hear about your pops, and that is a shame. Favorite vehicles seem to be the target of the fickle finger of fate. The deck looks fine as long as it holds you.

Right now I’m interested in the coconut pie.

 

Ya know, I fell asleep probably around 8:30 or so with the windows down, bunk doors open, and top bunk vents open.

I woke up around 2am freezing at 41*. Shut everything up and threw my sleeping bag over top of me.

Really, it was about perfect weather. Warm in the day, just perfect in the evening with a cool breeze, and cool at night.

And somehow, there were no flies. Odd for a dairy.

It'll be winter again Monday. I'll ##### about that then

 

I saw something on FB that said Bob Spooner passed. I met him once in ND. Seemed like a nice guy

 

That’s too bad. Did he ever get out of the hospital from that bad car wreck he was in a few years ago?

 

I think he did but never did get back to trucking.
