Find a company that doesn't use driver facing cameras. Tell that company the other company has been calling and trying to rehire you, but you don't want to return due to driver facing cameras.
~
Any company you're interested in , ask right up front if driver facing cameras are used.
Not sure what to do...

If they marked you as eligible for rehire and your record is satisfactory, it might not be a huge issue for most companies. A lot of recruiters mainly care about accidents, safety record, and drug/alcohol history. Still, if it gives you peace of mind, you could try contacting the old company and ask them to clarify it. Sometimes these things are just small administrative details that don’t affect hiring much.

The entry 'eligible for rehire' should prevail over the termination entry.
Anytime I found this while doing a background check, I considered the termination as possibly a company-based standard/rule violation not a performance-based entry hence the eligible entry.
Having worked for several small carriers with the actual owner could and would terminate over somewhat minor customer service issues and this looks like the reporting individual left the door open..... -
Stop overthinking this, pick out a few companies and apply, if they ask tell them you left and were not terminated.
why do many of you make this so complicated, most of the stuff on DAC is not even worth looking at.Albertaflatbed, rollin coal, 10538 and 4 others Thank this. -
I've noticed the word "termination" is used to refer to ending the employment of said individual with the co. In other words, it used to me the co firing the employee, but now means ending the employment of the employee, either by employee resigning or co firing.
lual Thanks this. -
You're right. I'm probably just worried about a whole lot of nothing. I just know that some companies take DAC reports to heart, but I also know that some couldn't care less about them. Thank you

About 25% of trucking companies subscribe to DAC. Since you have a right to correct DAC, since it's free, since it cannot hurt to have the record accurate, then I would follow the procedures on DAC/ HireRight.com to challenge the false entry. If that didn't change the false entry then I would follow directions and submit personal statement correcting the info, and which will be given to every company asking for info about you. If you need help send me a private message and I'll try to help.

The only way you figure that it matters is to apply for jobs and get someone honest enough to tell you why you were rejected, which I doubt they will tell you, because a lot of companies are using AI for filtering applications.
A lot of companies do not use DAC, let alone believe in them. -
If it's incorrect, can you not contact the company and ask them to voluntarily change it rather than go through a dispute process? Or is that not how it works?

If ! you have enough years driving, go in with a ton of CONFIDENCE, and show them you can do this job. I one time told the boss , i said, " I can drive that truck anyway you want me too". They had a system that counts points, and following close , speeding. ect. I got it down to less than 25 points , Impressed the s__t out of him. you can do the same, Consentration when testing , and again, Confidence in every move. good luck.
