I'm gonna Graduate April 6th. I'm trying to find a teammate, or a company that does team placement. I have 5 years active Navy, and I'm still in the reserves. I just got out so I'm just exploring new job opportunities. If anyone's interested, or has any information that would be greatly appreciated

Did you ever talk to Benny Whitehead?

They run mostly teams -- & team up new drivers.

Does the CDL school have any job placement suggestions?

I know a guy that went with Benny Whitehead Trucking. He said it's mandatory teaming the first 12 months. Said he liked working there.

If all the other suggested fleets give you the "cold shoulder"...due to your tough location (for just starting out in trucking), the current overall general freight recession (it's bad), &/or your lack of experience/endorsements....then try out this carrier:

    Teams - Kottke Trucking, Inc.

They have terminals below Orlando...& normally accept drivers with no previous experience.

To maximize your chances of being accepted there:

    • Fill out, & complete -- their on-line driving application FIRST -- BEFORE CALLING
    • Wait about 5 business days (not calendar days)
    • If they haven't contacted you by then -- give them a call, & ask for the recruitment department. When a recruiter responds, just introduce yourself...& say, "I was just calling to check on the status of my application."
If they are in a hiring mode -- the rest should take care of itself.

Best of luck -- do keep us posted on your progress!
