What now?

This is why my only valuable piece of advice is FIND THE EMPLOYER THAT WILL HIRE YOU WITH YOUR BACKGROUND/RECORD FIRST AND THEN DECIDE WHERE TO GO TO CDL SCHOOL.

99% of newbies act like CDL schools are all going out of business tomorrow and they have to rush to get a seat in the last class. The reason to have a CDL is to work and make money. If you can't find that there's no reason to go to CDL school. EVERY newbie says he doesn't care about anything but getting hired and getting paid, until the schedule, lack of time off, cost of health insurance, the commute to/from work, no place to park the truck, lack of truck maintenance, and many other details pop up.

Insurance companies are pretty picky about avoiding drivers without 12 months of US DL use. Not many trucking companies are interested in hiring drivers that can't be insured. THERE IS NO TRUCK DRIVER SHORTAGE no matter how many times the people typing news stories for online web pages say there is one.

If May scrubs your driving record a bit more -- & finds out you have less than a year of DL experience (if that is in fact the truth) -- they may change their minds....& cut you loose.
