I already filed for this year, didnt claim it. I know several guys are claiming it anyway and saying that they'll just pay it back if they get audited but ive had to deal with the IRS before, pass.

It is a little grey. I don't think companies report to the IRS if the OT they paid wasn't technically required, and 2025 is a transitional year because even employers who are required to pay it don't have to break it down in a W2 yet. Hopefully there will be some clarification before next year.

I'm going to wait it out as well. We have 3 years to file an amended return. I'm not going to stress myself out over $3k that I can always get back next year if it ends up being legal for us to claim the OT.

Yup. You've got bigger problems to deal with if an extra 3k is going to make or break your life.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too lately. Seems like there are more Loves/Gemini trucks popping up around LA than before — maybe they expanded routes or picked up some new contracts in the area.

Curious if anyone local has more insight? Could just be seasonal demand or something changing with fuel distribution.

Speaking of which I saw a love's truck at the carson rack the other day with trailer skirts, super ugly I hope they don't become required.

They have had those for quite awhile on some trailers. Loves has now started hauling ethanol to the racks here in Portland.

All the Love's trailers I've seen here in West Texas have skirts. I don't know if they're required, but if any place would require them it would be California.
