Chain to strap conversion

We used some thin plate 11gauge iirc. Made a strip to go across the deck and wide enough to cover 4 rows of holes top and bottom. Welded it to the sides on top and underneath it was snugged up to the inside edges of the deck. Top and bottom were bolted together with stainless carrage bolts.

I did this on a 5309 that I sold last year I will look for some pictures. If anyone is ever in the Kansas City area there is a shop here that is changing all there trailers pm me and will tell you where. They are really good folks there and I copied there design They also sell all thier old chains for 8-10$ a whack. Also sell any related equipment new or used.
